The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released details of three fighters it said were killed during clashes with Pakistani forces in the Zidi area of Khuzdar on July 10.
In a statement, the group identified the three as Faheem Magsi alias Nazar Jan, Jumma Khan alias Borjan and Saleh Mohammad alias Gwahram Khan.
The BLA said Faheem Magsi, 20, son of Nisar Ahmed Magsi, was an FSc student from Moola, Kharzana, in Khuzdar. It said he joined the group on July 7, 2025, and was active on the Nagaho, Jal Magsi and Karkh fronts.
The group said he took part in “Operation Herof II” and several ambushes, and demonstrated an ability to understand changing battlefield conditions and adapt quickly during combat.
The statement said Faheem regularly participated in organisational activities and remained at the forefront alongside other BLA fighters. He was later given responsibility for a patrol unit, which the group said he commanded with discipline and professionalism.
The BLA described him as an educated and politically conscious young man whose decision to join the armed struggle was based on his understanding of the historical and political conditions in Balochistan.
“He carried out his responsibilities with discipline and professionalism until the very end,” the statement said, adding that he remained committed to the ideological foundations on which he had chosen the path of resistance.
The BLA identified the second fighter as Jumma Khan alias Borjan, 26, son of Zarak Khan Jattak, a resident of Moola, Khuzdar. It said he had received religious education, joined the group on July 20, 2025, and was active on the Nagaho and Karkh fronts.
The group described him as a fighter who was “clear in his objectives” and capable of confronting Pakistani forces with determination.
It said Jumma Khan had a deep understanding of Islam and believed, in light of his religious views, that armed resistance was necessary to establish a system that would protect the rights and freedoms of the people of Balochistan.
The statement accused Pakistan of using Islam to preserve what it described as “occupation, exploitation and inhumane practices”, and said Jumma Khan viewed participation in the Baloch freedom struggle as a responsibility extending across social classes.
The BLA said Jumma Khan played a significant role in the fighting in Zidi, where the group claimed its fighters had pushed back Pakistani forces and taken control of the area.
He was killed during the fighting while protecting other members of his unit, the statement added.
The third fighter, Saleh Mohammad alias Gwahram Khan, was identified as the 35-year-old son of Abdullah Jattak. He joined the organisation on June 12, 2025.
The BLA said Saleh Mohammad received basic military training at the Nagaho front before becoming part of its patrol units and taking part in several armed engagements in Nagaho and Karkh.
The statement described him as a fighter who favoured offensive military tactics and was capable of adapting to changing conditions on the battlefield and carrying out major responsibilities.
It said Saleh Mohammad believed the conflict had been imposed on the Baloch people through the “occupation and exploitation” of their land and was therefore not only a struggle for statehood, but also one for the protection of Baloch identity, culture and national survival.
The BLA said Saleh Mohammad also took part in the fighting in Zidi, where he helped resist an advance by Pakistani forces and was killed while attempting to ensure the success of the operation.
The BLA paid tribute to the three fighters, saying their sacrifices would remain part of Baloch national history.
“The legacy of these sacrifices will be passed on to future generations with the result of an independent Baloch state,” the statement said.
