Three Baloch men went missing from Kech, Panjgur and Hub city of Balochistan. As per reports, all three of them have been allegedly abducted by the security forces.

Manzoor Baloch s/o Wajoo, Mahmood s/o Hashim Baloch and Shah Murad Baloch were allegedly arrested and moved to an unknown location by the security forces.

According to reports, security forces allegedly abducted Mahmood s/o Hashim from Parom, Panjgur on 3rd of June.

Mahmood Baloch, an oil trader, in the bordering areas of eastern and western Balochistan, was allegedly abducted by the security forces while he was travelling to Panjgur.

There are reports that Mahmood Baloch had been previously abducted too on 16th of March 2021 and later released.

Similarly, a Baloch man went missing from Hub City.

According to reports, a Baloch man named Shah Murad Baloch, resident of Singabad, travelling from Kech to Karachi for his child medical treatment, was allegedly abducted by the Pakistani forces.

As per reports, Mr Murad was travelling in public transport, when their coach was stopped by the security forces at Hub city. Shah Murad was picked up after his identification was checked by the security personnel on June 3rd.

Another incident of enforced disappearance has been reported from Hoshab, Balochistan.

According to sources, security forces have allegedly abducted a Baloch man named Manzoor Baloch from Hoshab area of district Kech, in a raid on 30th of May.

Despite government claims of resolving the issues of missing persons, enforced disappearances have seen a rise in Balochistan.

Families of enforced disappeared persons have been protesting for over a decade for the safe release of their loved ones. According to the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, every day a new family appears in our protest camp, searching for their loved ones.

VBMP further stressed, on one hand state forces are releasing a small number of previously abducted people but the number of new abductions in Balochistan are rising at a much higher pace.

VBMP has urged the Federal and Balochistan government to take serious action against enforced disappearances in Balochistan. The organization, struggling for safe release of Baloch missing persons, additionally demanded that ‘enforced disappearances’ should be classified as a crime.
