Pakistani security forces and several coal mines have been targeted again by armed assailants in Harnai, Bolan.

According to details, unknown armed assailants have attacked Pakistani security forces and coal mines in Talib lease area of Harnai, Bolan on Friday evening.

A multiple hours long battled ensued between the attackers and security forces, in which both sides used heavy weapons.

Pakistani gunship helicopters have also arrived in the area and shelled the mountains in the area.

Friday’s attack only comes a day after another similar attack in Khost area of Harnai, in which armed assailants had torched at least 28 coal mines on Wednesday. A combat had also occurred between armed assailants and Pakistani forces who had arrived in the area.

On Thursday, Pakistani security forces were also targeted in Peer Ismaeel area of Bolan. At least three personnel of Pakistani security force Frontier Corps had lost their lives in two IED attacks.

Baloch Liberation Army had claimed responsibility for the Thursday’s attacks. In a statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson of BLA has claimed that their fighters targeted a convoy of Pakistani military with an IED, killing one personnel. “BLA fighters also targeted the evacuation team of Pakistani Army, who arrived at the attack sight a while later. In this IED attack two personnel of Pakistani Army’s bomb disposal squad were killed and another was injured,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

No group has claimed responsibility for today’s attacks at the time of filing this report.
