Police have sought custody of some personnel of the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) for investigation into the killing of two persons in Gwadar, Balochistan.

According to details, the Pakistan Coast Guard conducted an operation in the port city of Gwadar on Saturday. After the operation ended, Dil Murad and Dur Mohammad were found dead in their vehicle.

Locals hold responsible the Pakistan Coast Guards for murdering two and arresting three others.

Police Investigation Officer Zaheer Ahmed has written a letter to the PCG’s commanding officer and sought the custody of the personnel who had taken part in the operation.

Mr Zaheer Ahmed claimed in his letter that on Saturday night two persons were killed in firing by the PCG personnel during the operation. Police did not find any illegal material from the site, he added.

Meanwhile, a PCG spokesman in a statement confirmed the operation against drug smugglers and the recovery of drugs and arms and arrest of three smugglers, but not any killing in the operation, Dawn news reported.
