Two girls of age four and seven, killed in a village house fire in Khuzdar district

According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, the girls were killed when their hut caught fire in ‘Pheeshak’ village of Noghay UC in Khuzdar district on Sunday.

The sisters were identified as four-year-old Saleema and seven-year-old Haleema, who were daughters of a farm worker Muneer Ahmed Channal.

Abdul Hayye Zehri, chairman of Noghay Union Council, told media that the father of the girls is under severe stress as he has lost both of his daughter and all his belongings, including the grains on which he had to feed throughout the winter.

He also requested the authorities to provide shelter and food to the suffering family on emergency basis.

House fires are common in villages due to the material used in the construction of huts which easily catch fire. It gets more dangerous when the wooden huts are used as kitchen as well.
