The media wing of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), known as Hakkal, has released photographs and biographical details of four members it says were involved in the phase two of the “Operation Herof”, including information on their backgrounds, organizational roles, and the circumstances under which they were killed.
According to the statement, one of those identified is Maryam Buzdar alias Sammi, daughter of Deen Muhammad Buzdar and a resident of Allah Abad Colony in Dera Ghazi Khan. Hakkal said she joined the Baloch Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade on March 3, 2023. The group described her decision to join as conscious and based on what it termed political awareness, a sense of responsibility, and ideological commitment, rather than an emotional or impulsive choice. The statement said her entry into the Majeed Brigade marked a decisive phase in which personal life and personal safety were set aside in favor of what it described as active struggle.
Hakkal further stated that Maryam Buzdar’s husband, Rasheed Buzdar alias Meeral, was previously involved in self-sacrificial mission and was killed earlier. According to the group, both had wished to carry out such a mission together, but circumstances and distance prevented this. The statement alleged that following Rasheed Buzdar’s killing, his body was mutilated, describing the act as evidence of brutality by the Pakistani state. Hakkal claimed that despite her husband’s death and the events that followed, Maryam Buzdar’s resolve remained unchanged, portraying her actions as part of what it called a conscious and sustained commitment rather than a reaction driven by personal loss.
The media wing said Maryam Buzdar was killed on February 2, 2026, on the Nushki front during the third day of Operation Herof 2.0. According to the statement, she died while taking part in close range fighting inside what it described as the Pakistani military’s main headquarters in Nushki.
Hakkal also released details of Zaid Yaseen Zamurani alias Abraam, son of Muhammad Yaseen Zamurani, a resident of Nuwano in the Zamuran area. The group said he had completed intermediate level education and grew up in a large family, where he was the second among his brothers. According to the statement, he became associated with the organization’s network in 2018, a period it described as formative for his political awareness and sense of responsibility. He formally joined the Baloch Liberation Army in September 2024 and became part of the Majeed Brigade.
The statement said Zaid Yaseen Zamurani was killed while fighting on the Pasni front. Hakkal described him as having fought with determination and quiet persistence, and said those who knew him remembered his calm demeanor, disciplined mindset, and willingness to take on responsibility without seeking attention.
In a separately released statement, the BLA media wing identified another ‘fidayee’ member as Dil Jan Baloch alias Ameer Aajo, son of Dil Murad Baloch, born in 2005. He was described as a resident of Sardasht Kalanch in Pasni tehsil. According to Hakkal, he joined the Baloch Liberation Army on November 1, 2023, and became part of the Majeed Brigade in February 2024. The group said he was killed while fighting on the Pasni front.
Hakkal stated that those who fought alongside Dil Jan Baloch remembered him as composed under pressure and clear about his purpose. The statement said he carried out his responsibilities without display and remained steadfast during what it described as the most difficult moments, adding that his death on the Pasni front marked the end of what it called a journey shaped by conscious choice, determination, and dignity.
The media wing also released information about Shabeer Baloch, code named Keyya Baloch, son of Deen Muhammad Umar, approximately 32 years old. According to the statement, he originally belonged to Dando Kalanch and moved to Pasni in 2016. Before joining the movement, he worked as a fisherman and was closely connected to coastal and maritime life. Hakkal said he joined the movement in 2019 and became part of the Majeed Brigade in July 2024.
The group described Shabeer Baloch as a disciplined and experienced fighter who, it claimed, rose to the position of commander based on his natural abilities, combat experience, and personal commitment. According to Hakkal, during “Operation Herof” he served as an operational commander on the Pasni front, where he was responsible for leading activities. The statement portrayed his leadership as defined by courage, battlefield awareness, and decisive judgment, and described his progression from fisherman to front line commander as an example of sustained commitment and responsibility until his death.
