The Baloch Women Forum (BWF) has released a detailed report documenting the extrajudicial killings of 20 Baloch youth across various areas of Balochistan during the first fifteen days of June 2025. According to the forum, these killings were directly carried out by state security forces or their allied local armed groups, known as “death squads.”
The forum described these incidents as turning what should have been a festive Eid period into a time of mourning for the Baloch community, while celebrations continued elsewhere in Pakistan. They condemned these killings as blatant human rights violations and called for immediate international intervention.
Among those killed, the report highlights two individuals – Saifullah Baloch and Shahjehan Baloch – who had previously been forcibly disappeared and were killed in fake encounters while in state custody on June 13. Their bodies were neither shown to their families nor publicly acknowledged before being quietly buried.
According to BWF report, on June 12, Saud Nichari was killed in Manguchar tehsil of Kalat, Abdullah Baloch in Tump, and Kamran Juttak in Khuzdar, all targeted by Pakistani security forces and their allied death squads.
The forum also reported that mutilated bodies of Ali Baig Bugti, Yousuf Wado Bugti, and Zahid Bugti – who had been forcibly disappeared months earlier – were found in the Sui area on June 11. That same day, the bodies of forcibly disappeared Ali Mohammad and Nazar Baloch were recovered, while Nazar Baloch’s brother, Gul Daad, remains in state custody.
On June 9, Nawab Baloch, a student detained during a security operation in Kolwah, was found dead the next day with signs of torture.
The report further detailed the discovery of four bodies, including Saeed Marri and Eid Mohammad Marri, on June 6, a day before Eid. Saeed Marri’s two sons had already been killed in fake encounters with Pakistani forces.
On June 3, Syed Ehsan Shah was shot dead by FC personnel in Quetta’s Lakpass area, while Muslim Baloch was targeted by a local death squad in Khuzdar. Bodies of two forcibly disappeared youths, Samiullah Baloch and Bismillah Baloch, were also recovered from Kalat.
Additionally, on June 2, Waheed Baloch was forcibly disappeared from Turbat’s Civil Hospital, with his bullet-riddled body found two days later.
The Baloch Women Forum accused state agencies of ruthlessly killing Baloch people without accountability, warning that extrajudicial killings have become routine in Balochistan. They cautioned that if these policies continue unchecked, the situation will further deteriorate.
The forum urged the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan and intervene to halt these violations.
