The man injured in a blast in Balochistan’s district Khuzdar a few days ago succumbed to his wounds, sources have said.
According to reports, Mumtaz s/o Kareem Ghulamani was gravely injured after surviving an explosion in Khuzdar’s Khand locality. His companion, Amir Ghulamani, was also injured in the blast.
The two were moved to Quetta for better treatment where Mumtaz succumbed to his injuries and died.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the blast, saying that the two men were members of Shafiq Mengal’s death squad. BLA said the two men were involved in “enforced disappearances”, kill-and-dumps, drug trafficking, ransom kidnapping and extortion.
BLA said that it has identified the network of these ‘death squads’ and warned that they will be punished.
