Quetta Police arrested at least 19 doctors, protesting in the Red Zone area of the city. Detained doctors were shifted to civil line police station Quetta.
According to details, activists of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) were staging a sit-in protest in the red zone area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. Paramedical staff had also joined the protest of YDA.
According to senior police official, doctors were arrested for violation of COVID19. The YDA has strongly condemned the police raid and termed it an unlawful act. The organization has demanded an immediate release of the arrested doctors.
The sit-in protest caused the worst traffic jam in the red zone area of Quetta. YDA and paramedics have been protesting against the government for the lack of basic facilities at the government-run hospitals in Balochistan.
