Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed that four personnel of Pakistani forces were killed and two were injured in an attack by its fighters.

According to a statement released to media on Friday, Balochistan’s most active armed group BLF said that its fighters attacked an outpost of Pakistani forces in Abdoi area of Mand, Balochistan on Thursday.

BLF’s spokesperson Goharam Baloch said that in the attack, carried out with heavy weaponry, four personnel of Pakistani forces were killed, whereas two others were injured.

There has not been any confirmation of the incident from the military authorities, however, very rarely the state forces comment on attacks carried out by Baloch armed groups.

BLF was also behind a deadly IED attack earlier this week. Multiple personnel of Pakistani security forces were killed in the IED attack carried out on Tuesday in Peerandar, Awaran. BLF said 10 Pakistani personnel had died in the attack.

Baloch armed groups have been battling Pakistani forces since early 2000s in what is called the fifth insurgency for Balochistan’s independence. Baloch armed groups claim Pakistan has forcibly occupied Balochistan.
