Seven ‘missing persons’ have been handed over to the local police in Panjgur.

According to the Balochistan Post correspondent, seven men, who were picked up during different military operations in Balochistan, were produced by the Pakistani forces on Tuesday in Panjgur.

All the seven men hailed from different towns and villages of Panjgur district, and were handed over to the police station by Pakistani forces.

TBP received their identifications as Abdul Hameed S/O Muhammad Hussain, Hassan S/O Umeed Ali, Abdul Rasheed S/O Umeed Ali, Abdul Rasheed S/O Gul Muhammad, Saeed S/O Muhammad Kareem, Naveed S/O Haji Iqbal, Siraj S/O Imam Deen and Abdul Qudoos S/O Noor Bakhsh.

In August, 30 missing persons were handed over to the Police by Pakistani forces in Dera Bugti district.

According to a Baloch analysts, the missing persons’ issue had harmed Pakistan’s reputation internationally as human rights watch and Amnesty International on multiple instances criticized Pakistan over its illegal abductions of Political workers and activists. The recent release of some missing persons is considered a step to repair that damage.

Some analysts also criticised media for highlighting only the news when people return home but do not air the news when people go missing.

In another news, a person who was abducted from Mashkay has been identified. The men was abducted along with a groom few days ago.

The abductees have been identified as Aqeel S/O Rahmatullah and Abdain S/O Hamza.

According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), the campaign group by families of victims, more than 20, 000 Baloch men, women and children are missing in Balochistan.
