At least eight persons have been taken away by Pakistani security forces from Kech.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, security forces raided Madag Kohr area of Kolwah in Kech, Balochistan. At least eight persons were detained and subsequently taken to undisclosed locations during the operation.

The ‘forcibly disappeared’ persons have been identified as Naseebullah Baloch, Qadir Baksh Baloch, Dilshad Baloch, Meerza Baloch, Kamal Deen Baloch, Abdul Samad Baloch, Abdul Rasheed Baloch and Charo Baloch.

It was not known why the arrests were made. However, Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recently instances of ‘women and children abduction’ have also been reported from the war-struck region.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the ‘perpetrators of illegal abductions’ in Balochistan.
