Pakistani intelligence personnel and members of a state-backed armed group took cash, a mobile phone and hospital records during a raid on a private hospital in Balochistan’s Turbat, local sources said.
The men arrived in a private vehicle at around 4 a.m. several days ago, searched patients’ rooms and questioned them about individuals from Dasht and Tump, the sources said. They described the armed group as a local “death squad”.
The sources alleged that the men took Rs80,000 and a mobile phone from a patient and his attendant, along with records from the hospital’s reception counter.
The raid followed an attack on Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Dasht’s Kuncheti area that night, in which some personnel were reported killed.
Intelligence personnel suspected a wounded fighter might have sought treatment at the hospital, the sources said.
