Reports from several districts of Balochistan indicate that Pakistani military forces have demolished a number of houses said to be linked to Baloch separatist fighters, while residents have also reported raids and the confiscation of valuables during security operations.

According to information received from the coastal district of Gwadar, security forces demolished a house belonging to a man identified as Mohammad in the Pasni Grani area. Local sources said the structure was completely destroyed during the operation. A video showing the demolition was also circulated by Pakistani forces.

This is reportedly the second house demolition in Gwadar district in recent weeks. Earlier, on 13 February, a house belonging to a family in the Panwan area of Gwadar was destroyed using heavy machinery.

Similar incidents have also been reported in other parts of Balochistan. Earlier this month, security forces demolished four houses in Noshki, including the ancestral home of Bashir Zeb Baloch, who is identified as the head of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). In another incident reported from Tump, a house was destroyed using heavy machinery and explosives.

Authorities have described the demolished properties as being linked to Baloch separatist fighters. However, some residents and local observers have expressed concern, alleging that homes belonging to civilians are being targeted as a form of collective punishment.

In recent days, reports of raids and arrests by Pakistani forces have also increased across several cities in Balochistan. In some cases, residents have alleged that valuables and cash were taken during search operations.

According to reports from Noshki district, security personnel raided a residential house where family members later claimed that gold jewellery belonging to a newly married couple and approximately 250,000 Pakistani rupees in cash were taken during the operation.

In another reported incident in the coastal city of Gwadar, local sources alleged that a valuable watch and around 130,000 rupees in cash were taken during a raid on a house.

Residents in Quetta’s Sariab Road area have also reported similar complaints, claiming that valuables went missing from homes during search operations conducted by security forces.

These developments come in the aftermath of coordinated attacks claimed by the BLA on 31 January in several areas of Balochistan, including Balochistan’s capital Quetta. Following those incidents, security forces launched operations in multiple areas, during which demolitions of houses and search raids have reportedly been carried out.
