Three people, including a 16-year-old student, have allegedly been forcibly disappeared in separate incidents in Balochistan’s Kech district.
The missing individuals were identified as Akram, son of Ismail, from Gobard in Mand; Shamsher, son of Munir, from Giben; and Hanif, son of Pir Muhammad, from Sorag.
Sources close to Akram said he was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani intelligence personnel last Monday, adding that he was the fourth young man from his family to have been forcibly disappeared in recent days.
According to the sources, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel had instructed the family to bring the national identity cards and local domicile certificates of their missing relatives to an FC camp.
Akram went to the camp with two other family members to submit the requested documents. As they were leaving, men travelling in a black Corolla forcibly took him away, while his two companions were allowed to leave. The sources alleged that the men belonged to intelligence agencies.
No information regarding Akram’s whereabouts has emerged since the incident.
In a separate incident in Giben, Turbat, gunmen entered a house at around 2 a.m. and abducted 16-year-old student Shamsher Ahmed, son of Munir Ahmed Nadil, at gunpoint, according to local reports.
Family sources alleged that the abductors belonged to a state-backed armed group locally referred to as a “death squad”.
Meanwhile, Hanif, son of Pir Muhammad and a resident of Sorag, was detained by Pakistani forces and transferred to an undisclosed location on Thursday, according to reports. His whereabouts remain unknown.
The cases come amid continuing reports of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. In its report covering January to June 2026, Paank, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), said it documented 556 enforced disappearances and 227 extrajudicial or custodial killings, while 171 people were released or recovered during the same period.
