Pakistani forces reportedly carried out a raid in a residential area of Tump, Kech district, during which homes were searched and a house was set on fire, according to local sources.
Sources said Pakistani military personnel conducted a raid in the Kasano area of Tump and allegedly subjected local residents to physical abuse during the operation.
According to the reports, forces searched several houses and took valuables from some homes. Residents further alleged that the house of Ikram Baloch was set on fire during the raid.
Images circulating on social media purportedly show the aftermath of the incident, including a burned house and damaged copies of the Quran.
No official statement from the Pakistani military regarding the reported raid or the allegations was available at the time of filing this report.
The incident follows previous allegations of property damage during military operations in Tump and other parts of Balochistan. In June, residents of the Gomazi area of Tump alleged that Pakistani military personnel damaged and demolished homes, confiscated valuables and mistreated civilians during a search operation. Rights groups and local organisations subsequently called for independent investigations into the allegations, while no official response was issued regarding the claims.
Similar allegations have surfaced in other parts of Balochistan in recent months. Earlier this month, reports from Zehri and Khuzdar alleged that Pakistani forces carried out operations in residential areas that resulted in civilian casualties and property damage. Political parties and local residents called for impartial investigations into those incidents.
Tump and surrounding areas of Kech have witnessed repeated military operations and armed attacks in recent years amid the wider conflict in Balochistan. Armed groups, including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), have claimed multiple attacks in the region, while residents and rights organisations have frequently raised concerns about the impact of security operations on civilians.
