Cases of enforced disappearances continue to be reported in Balochistan, with three people allegedly forcibly disappeared after being detained by Pakistani forces in Surab and Hub.
According to reports, Majid Baloch, son of Mohammad Ali and a resident of Surab, was allegedly detained by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel near a grid station at around 6:00 p.m. on 19 September 2026. He has remained missing since then.
On the same day, another Majid Baloch, son of Mohammad Ishaq, also from Surab, was reportedly forcibly disappeared after being detained by Pakistani forces. According to reports, FC personnel took him into custody from the main RCD Road at around 6:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Salal Baloch, son of Huzoor Bakhsh and a resident of Parkotag, Hoshab, Kech, was allegedly detained and forcibly disappeared in Bhawani, Hub, while travelling from Karachi to Turbat.
According to family sources, Salal worked as a cleaner on his father’s truck and had travelled to Karachi for work. The family said that while returning to Turbat with his father after loading cargo in Karachi, he was detained by Pakistani forces in Bhawani area at around 4:00 a.m.
The families have not received any information regarding the whereabouts of the three men since their alleged detention.
Enforced disappearances remain a longstanding issue in Balochistan. Families, rights groups and political organisations have for years alleged that individuals are detained by Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies and subsequently held incommunicado, while authorities have repeatedly denied involvement in many cases.
International human rights organisations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have also documented reports of enforced disappearances in the region.
