Multiple attacks were reported across Balochistan on Saturday, targeting Pakistani military, police and government installations in Lasbela, Jhal Magsi and Quetta.

In Lasbela district, armed men reportedly opened fire on a Pakistani military armoured vehicle that was conducting patrols along the Coastal Highway. According to local sources, two military personnel were killed and two others injured in the attack.

No official statement regarding the incident had been issued by military authorities at the time of publication. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Separately, in Jhal Magsi’s Kotra Bazaar area, armed individuals attacked a government rest house, causing extensive damage to the building.

Initial reports indicated that there were no casualties. However, subsequent information suggested that the building was completely destroyed during the attack. Sources said a rocket-propelled projectile was fired at the structure, resulting in its destruction.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, in Quetta’s Hazarganji area, unidentified individuals reportedly threw three hand grenades at Shalkot Police Station.

According to police sources, one police officer and a passer-by were injured in the explosions and were transferred to hospital for treatment. The attackers reportedly fled the scene following the incident.

Security personnel launched a search operation in the area after the attack, while police and other law-enforcement agencies continued efforts to locate those responsible.

The incidents come amid ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, where attacks targeting security forces and government installations have seen a surge in recent months.

Authorities have not indicated whether the three incidents were connected. Investigations into the attacks are reportedly ongoing.
