The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Thursday that it killed 25 Pakistani military personnel in two attacks at Ziarat Cross and in Surab, and destroyed three military vehicles.
BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement that fighters attacked four vehicles in a military convoy at Ziarat Cross, destroying two, including a military truck, and killing 18 personnel.
Five injured personnel escaped and the fighters seized weapons from the convoy, he said, adding that the BLA’s Fateh Squad participated in the attack.
In a separate operation in the Hajika area of Surab, the group’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) detonated an explosives-laden vehicle remotely, destroying a military vehicle and killing seven personnel, the statement said.
The BLA said further details would be released in its forthcoming weekly statement.
There was no immediate comment from Pakistani authorities.
