Pakistani forces set several houses ablaze during an operation in the Tump area of Balochistan’s Kech district on Thursday, while local sources reported a separate military operation in the mountainous areas of the coastal district of Gwadar.
In the Kohad area of Tump, houses belonging to Dad Muhammad, son of Chakar, were set on fire during the operation, according to local sources.
The sources said this was not the first time his properties had been targeted, adding that several of his houses had previously been raided and property was damaged during earlier operations.
Reports also emerged of raids and movement by Pakistani forces in the Rodban area of Tump. However, no information regarding arrests or casualties was immediately available.
Separately, a large-scale operation was reported in Kulanch and the surrounding mountainous areas of Gwadar district.
Local sources said a large number of Pakistani forces personnel entered the area in the morning and advanced towards different mountainous areas.
No confirmed reports of casualties or arrests had emerged from the Gwadar operation at the time of publication.
Pakistani authorities have not issued a statement regarding either operation.
