Two young men have reportedly gone missing in separate incidents in Panjgur district of Balochistan, with their families alleging that they were taken into custody by armed individuals and subsequently moved to undisclosed locations.
According to information received by The Balochistan Post, 22-year-old Mujahid, son of Habib and a resident of Parom tehsil in Panjgur, was reportedly taken on the night of 7 June 2026 from the CPEC Road area of Sarsand, Panjgur.
Family members said Mujahid works as a driver and was allegedly taken into custody by individuals whom they describe as being affiliated with pro-state armed groups. They say no information regarding his whereabouts has been available since.
In a separate incident, 22-year-old Nabeel Rahim, son of Rahim Bakhsh and a resident of Chitkan, Panjgur, was reportedly taken from Haji Yaseen Market in Panjgur at around 6 pm on 5 June 2026.
According to his family, Nabeel is a student at the Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology in Khuzdar. They allege that he was also taken into custody by members of a pro-state armed group, or “death squad” and has remained unaccounted for since.
The families of both men say they are facing severe distress and uncertainty over the disappearances. They have called on the authorities to disclose the whereabouts of Mujahid and Nabeel Rahim, ensure their safety, and, if they are being held in custody, produce them before a court in accordance with the law.
