The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released photographs and biographical details of four of its fighters who it says were killed during the second phase of its campaign known as Operation Herof.
According to a statement published by the group’s media wing, Hakkal Media, the individuals were involved in the second phase of the operation and were members of different units within the organisation, including the group’s suicide unit known as the Majeed Brigade.
The group identified one of the fighters as Nadir Bangulzai, also known as Shay Mureed, son of Nawab Khan Bangulzai and a resident of Isplinji. According to the statement, he joined the organisation in 2025 and later became part of the Majeed Brigade. The BLA said he had been deployed on the Nagaho front and was later killed while fighting during Operation Herof Phase II in the Mastung area.
Another individual named in the statement was Abdul Salam Kurd, also known as Nasrullah, a 21-year-old resident of Isplinji in Mastung. The BLA said he joined the organisation the same year and later became a member of the Majeed Brigade. According to the group, he was also deployed to the Nagaho front and was killed during fighting in Mastung during the operation. The statement added that he was a cousin of Majeed Baloch, who had previously carried out a suicide attack in Quetta during the second phase of the same campaign.
The group also released details about Imtiaz Baloch, also known as Haji Tawakal, son of Jangian Baloch and a resident of Balicha Talukan. According to the statement, he joined the armed movement in 2017 and later became part of the BLA in 2020. The group said he served as a member of the Fateh Squad and participated in operations across several areas, including Zamuran, Kolber, Dasht and Turbat. The BLA said he was killed while leading a unit during clashes in the Rodbun area during Operation Herof Phase II.
Another fighter identified by the group was Liaquat, also known as Nod, son of Maola Bakhsh and a resident of Kohad in Tump. According to the statement, he joined the BLA in 2019 and served in the Fateh Squad as a patrol commander. The group said he had taken part in operations in Zamuran and Kolber and was later appointed as a side camp commander in Zamuran. The BLA said he was killed while leading fighters during fighting in the Pullabad area during the second phase of Operation Herof.
The BLA said the individuals were killed while participating in the operation against Pakistani forces.
