The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Sunday it had killed seven Pakistani military personnel, including a major, in a bomb attack on a military convoy near Pasni in Balochistan’s Gwadar district.
BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) targeted one of three vehicles in the convoy with a remotely detonated explosive device in the Kabri area of Shadi Kaur.
The explosion “completely destroyed” the vehicle, killing all seven personnel aboard, including Major Wajahat, he added.
The group said it would continue its operations “with increased intensity” until Balochistan achieved independence and Pakistani forces withdrew.
There was no immediate response from Pakistan’s military to the claim.
