Reports have emerged of military operations and raids carried out by Pakistani forces in several areas of Balochistan, including Surab, Gwadar and Turbat, with local residents alleging property damage and mistreatment during the actions.

According to local sources, a large-scale military operation was conducted by Pakistani forces in the Laghar area on the outskirts of Surab and its surrounding localities. Residents reported that security personnel entered the area in a large number of vehicles and conducted house-to-house searches.

During the operation, several homes were reportedly raided and searched. Some residents alleged that doors and windows were broken during the searches and that property was damaged in a number of houses. Local residents also claimed that women and children were subjected to harsh treatment during the operation, including being pushed or physically handled by personnel.

In a separate development in the Kantani area of Jiwani tehsil in Gwadar district, local sources reported that Pakistani forces set fire to homes and fuel supplies belonging to labourers involved in cross-border fuel trade.

Individuals associated with the fuel trade described the incident as a serious injustice, stating that the burning of fuel had effectively destroyed the main source of income for many labourers, particularly during the month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) issued a statement regarding the incident, alleging that residents engaged in cross-border trade in the remote Mochan Kappar area of Kantani were deprived of their livelihoods when fuel supplies were destroyed. The organisation said the incident reflected what it described as long-standing economic pressure on the local population and called on humanitarian organisations to take practical steps to hold Pakistan accountable for its policies affecting the region.

Separately, late-night raids were also reported in the Gogdan area of Turbat. According to sources, Pakistani forces carried out a raid at around 2 a.m. on the home of former councillor Ali Faqir Sanghor. Family members alleged that during the search, doors and cupboards were broken and women in the household were subjected to physical abuse and verbal harassment.

The family also claimed that personnel took away a Honda 125 motorcycle, mobile phones and clothing that had been prepared for the upcoming Eid celebrations. They further stated that their home had previously been raided several times at night and that another motorcycle taken during an earlier raid had not been returned.

Relatives said they had earlier informed local authorities through community elders that they were not responsible if any member of the family had left the area, and argued that repeated raids and alleged harassment of women and children were unjust.

Sources also reported that Pakistani forces conducted a raid on the same night at the house of another resident, identified as Lal Bakhsh Adam, in the same locality.

There was no immediate official statement from Pakistani authorities regarding the reported operations or the allegations made by residents and local organisations.
