Five young girls were injured in Hoshap, a locality in Kech district, after Pakistani security forces allegedly fired mortar shells and carried out indiscriminate shooting toward residential areas. One of the injured girls is reported to be in critical condition.
The wounded were immediately shifted to Turbat Teaching Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment. A hospital official confirmed the arrival of five injured children from Hoshap and stated that all were being provided necessary care.
According to local sources, the firing and mortar shelling originated from the direction of a security forces camp and hit nearby homes, causing injuries to women and children. One girl’s condition is described as extremely critical.
Local reports also indicate that armed individuals set up road blockades in Hoshap, conducted snap checking and exchanged fire with security forces. However, there has been no official confirmation from government sources or police regarding these clashes.
The situation in the area remains tense.
