Pakistani security forces were targeted in a bomb blast in Balochistan’s Mastung district while engaged in clearing a railway track.
The explosion occurred in the Dasht area of Mastung. Reports suggest there may have been casualties among the personnel, although officials have not yet released details.
Rail services in Balochistan have faced recurring security concerns by “pro-independence” Baloch armed groups. Earlier this month, train operations were suspended twice due to threats.
The Jaffar Express has previously come under repeated attacks. Last month, two separate incidents targeted the train, leading to further suspensions of services.
