The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” armed group, has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Pakistani military headquarters in Balochistan’s Turbat.

In a statement released on Friday, Major Gwahram Baloch, the BLF spokesperson, said the attack took place at approximately 2:15 p.m. and targeted the military headquarters from two sides.

One side was reportedly attacked with rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), while the other was struck using grenade launchers. The BLF claims that the rockets landed inside the camp, causing “heavy human and material losses.”

The BLF spokesperson described the attack as part of the group’s guerrilla tactics, which he claimed have inflicted significant losses on Pakistani military personnel and have created a “state of psychological pressure and fear” among the forces.

Following the attack, the spokesperson alleged that Pakistani military personnel engaged in “indiscriminate firing” but said that BLF fighters safely retreated to their hideouts.

The BLF’s statement said that the organization accepts responsibility for the attack on the Turbat headquarters and vowed to continue its operations until the “complete withdrawal of enemy forces” from Balochistan is achieved.

There has been no immediate response from the Pakistani military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), or other Pakistani authorities regarding the BLF’s claims.
