Pakistani forces have allegedly forcibly disappeared five people, including two Pashtun activists, from Mastung, Awaran, and Quetta districts of Balochistan.

According to reports, Pakistani forces raided a house and forcibly disappeared an individual identified as Ameer Hamza from Mastung.

Ameer Hamza

Amir Hamza’s wife told the media that the forces tortured the households and looted valuables during the raid. The forces allegedly detained Ameer Hamza in front of his family and subsequently moved him to an undisclosed location.

Meanwhile, two cases of enforced disappearances emerged from the Awaran district of Balochistan.

According to reports, the Pakistan Army has allegedly abducted two people from Jhau tehsil of Awaran district, while relatives have closed the road for traffic by staging a sit-in on Jhau-Lasbela Road against the incident.

The missing individuals have been identified as Doctor Tahir and Dr. Zafar. Speaking to the TBP correspondent, family sources said Dr. Zafar was summoned to the military camp and detained by the forces, after which his fate could not be ascertained.

Their family members demanded that if they have committed any crime, they should be produced before the courts instead of disappearing. The family vowed to continue the sit-in until their demands were met.

In a similar development, Pakistan’s intelligence agencies allegedly forcibly disappeared two activists of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.

According to the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, senior leaders of Quetta and Loralai, Naqeeb Pashtun and Asmat Comrade, were abducted by plainclothes men from Baba Jan Hotel Prince Road in Quetta.

Zubair Agha Shah, the leader of the organization, confirmed the incident and alleged that Quetta city police station personnel along with plainclothes men kidnapped journalist Asmat Comrade with another PTM leader. He has said that the city police station is showing ignorance about the arrest while there is evidence and witnesses.
