At least four Pakistani soldiers were killed and six injured in multiple attacks on the forces by the Baloch “pro-independence” groups.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen targeted the main camp of Pakistani forces in the Johan area of the Kalat district on Tuesday night. The sources said that heavy gunfire and explosions were heard throughout the night.

In another attack in the same area, unknown assailants opened fire and killed two motorcycle-borne Pakistani soldiers at Johan Cross on Tuesday evening. Following the attack, forces rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies.

According to local sources, the Frontier Crops (FC) officials were on their way to their camp after buying medicines when they were attacked.

Similarly, unidentified persons hurled a hand grenade at the forces’ camp on the Sariyab Road in Quetta.

Authorities confirmed that two Frontier Crops (FC) personnel were injured in the attack. They identified the injured personnel as sepoy Rahim Shah and sepoy Sanaullah.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a Baloch “pro-independence” group, accepted responsibility for the three attacks in a media statement.

The BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said that the BLA fighters targeted the Pakistani forces in three separate attacks in Kalat and Quetta. “Three enemy personnel were eliminated and five were injured in these attacks,” he said.

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), another Baloch “pro-independence” group, claimed responsibility for killing a Rangers’ personnel in Karachi’s Lyari town on Tuesday night.

BLF spokesperson Gwahram Baloch said that the Rangers are committing heinous crimes like “enforced disappearance” and killing Baloch youth living in different areas of Sindh, especially in Lyari, in “fake encounters.”

“Additionally, the Rangers are involved in humiliating Baloch women and children at gunpoint on a daily basis in the cover of the darkness”, the spokesperson said.
