Two underage Baloch brothers reportedly have received death sentences by the Iranian judiciary in Zahedan city of Western Balochistan.

According to reports, the Baloch brothers aged 15 and 16, Mohammad Rakhshani and Ali Rakhshani’s death sentence was communicated to their lawyer on Thursday.

The lawyer said that both boys are charged with Moharebeh, which means they are sentenced to death for “waging war against God”.

Local sources said that the verdict was given by a Judge named Firouzi.

Iranian security force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reportedly arrested Mohammad and Ali Rakhshani on October 1, 2022, for participating in a peaceful protest. Their whereabouts remain unknown since.

As per some reports, the Rakhshani brothers have been kept in Zahedan central prison. But their family members said that they haven’t seen or heard from them for the last 63 days. “Mohammad Rakhshani has been diagnosed with seizure disorder [Epilepsy]”, family sources said.
