The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan said in a recent statement that the Pakistanis security forces have violated the rules of the ceasefire agreement by killing two TTP members in a raid. The group said that the Pakistani state is mistaking our softness for weakness.

TTP spokesperson Muhammad Khurasani said in a media statement on Friday the Pakistani security forces raided a house in Spinwam in North Waziristan and killed two TTP members. Khurasani said that the Pakistani security forces violated the rules of the ceasefire agreement that the Pakistani state and the TTP signed. The rules called for an immediate cessation of violence on both sides, but the Pakistani state is not holding its end of the bargain.

Khurasani identified the slain TTP members as Khabib alias Bilal and Khairkhwa. He said that the security forces have refused to hand over their dead bodies to their loved ones.

The TTP spokesperson said that “we have made it clear that we intend to abide by the agreement in letter and spirit, but the Pakistani security forces are continuously attacking our companions.” He said that the Pakistani state is mistaking our softness for weakness – if these violations don’t stop in the future, we will hit back and the state will be responsible for the violence.
