The Pakistani security forces were targeted in two separate attacks in Turbat and Sibi, reportedly by the Baloch “pro-independence” groups. Three soldiers were killed in the two attacks and several others were injured, the ISPR has confirmed.

According to the details, the Baloch Republican Guards, an armed “pro-independence” group, targeted the Pakistani security forces in Sibi. A vehicle carrying the forces was targeted in an IED blast where one of the soldiers was killed on the spot and another critically wounded. The BRG claimed responsibility for the attack in a media statement and vowed that such attacks will continue.

The forces were also targeted in a separate attack in the Tump area of Kech, by the Balochistan Liberation Front, a “pro-independence” group. The Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistani Army, confirmed the attack in a media statement. The ISPR said that two soldiers, identified as Sepoy Naseebullah and Sepoy Inshallah, were killed in the attack.

BLF, however, said that five soldiers were killed in the attack. The remaining few ran off to a nearby stream to save their lives. The BLF fighters then captured all of their weapons and set the check post on fire, it claimed.
