Pakistani forces allegedly detained and disappeared a minor student from Balochistan’s coastal city of Gwadar, on Tuesday night.

According to reports, Pakistani forces raided in Niyabad area of Gwadar and forcibly disappeared a 15-year-old student Aamir S/O Muhammad Raheem resident of Dasht Hassadi.

It should be recalled that one year ago, Amir’s father and brother Yasir were also abducted by Pakistani forces and had been released after a long time.

Enforced disappearance is a major human rights issue in Balochistan, thousands of youths children men and women are missing, while thousands of them have been found dead, or targeted in fake encounters.

International campaign groups, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, accuse Pakistani security forces as the ‘perpetrators of illegal abductions’ in Balochistan.
