Balochistan Liberation Front said in a statement that their four ‘comrades’ were ‘martyred’ in a clash with the Pakistani army in Raghe Kalan area of Mashkay on Friday.

Gohram Baloch, the spokesperson for BLF, said in the statement that the Front’s armed persons confronted the ‘oppressive’ Pakistani army on Friday in Mashkay. In the subsequent clash, four ‘comrades’ of the BLF were ‘martyred’ – Commander Muslim s/o Mohd Hussain, second lieutenant Sikandar s/o Mohd Ibrahim, Liaquat s/o Mulla Abdul Qadir and Saadullah. “We pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for the independence of Balochistan”, the spokesperson said.

The statement said that the Pakistani army has been carrying out air and ground military operations in Raghe, Gichk and their environs for the past two weeks. The forces have violated the rules of war by targeting the innocent civilians with gunship helicopters, arsoning their houses and looting their possessions, the statement said.

The spokesperson said that the ‘martyrs’ were the kin of BLF’s commanders, Dr Allah Nazar Baloch and Suleman Shehak. Muslim Baloch was Shehak’s younger brother and Allah Nazar’s nephew. Sikandar Baloch and Liaquat Baloch are also Allah Nazar’s nephews.

Shehak Baloch and Safar Khan Baloch, Allah Nazar’s younger brother, were allegedly killed, along with their guests and 15 companions, in their house by the Pakistani army in June 2015.

In another news, Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for attacking the Pakistani forces’ camp in Mastung. Jeehand Baloch, the spokesperson for the group, said in a statement that the BLA fighters attacked the main security check post of the ‘oppressive’ Pakistani forces’ camp in Mastung. He said that the forces sustained casualties and the check post was damaged in the attack.
