Four security personnel were killed in a clash with militants in the Dattakhel tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district, ISPR confirmed.

According to officials seven militants were also killed in the fighting.

According to Dawn News report, security personnel were patrolling the Tootnarai area of Dattakhel when they came under attack from the militants. In the ensuing clash, seven militants were killed.

Pakistan military officials confirm the loss of four security men. The bodies of the personnel were taken to a hospital in the Dosali area, they added.

The security forces cordoned off the area following the clash and began a search operation to find the perpetrators of the attack
