18 people injured as a result of a road accident, when a van overturned near Mach town on Sunday.
According to the details received by The Balochistan Post, a van carrying women and children to a marriage ceremony, turned over near Mach town, injuring at least 18 people.
People injured in the accident were later taken to a nearby hospital. The critically injured were then referred to the capital city of Quetta.
The van was carrying passengers from Sibi to Quetta, to attend a marriage ceremony.
Road accidents are a common occurrence in Balochistan due to outdated roads. The national highways have not been upgraded for decades and high number of inadequate dual carriageways have also proved fatal for the increasing traffic.
