Ghani Baloch, a central leader of the National Democratic Party (NDP), who had been reported missing after his detention in Khuzdar, and Sana Baloch, who was allegedly detained at Multan Airport and subsequently disappeared, have resurfaced after extended periods of reported enforced disappearance.
According to available information, Ghani Baloch was detained on 25 May 2025 near Al-Qadri Hotel in Khuzdar after being taken off a passenger coach during a search operation reportedly carried out by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.
Sana Baloch was reportedly taken into custody at Multan Airport on 10 August 2025 and transferred to an undisclosed location, after which his whereabouts remained unknown.
Both men are affiliated with the National Democratic Party. The party had previously organised protests and press conferences in Balochistan and other regions, calling for information regarding their whereabouts and demanding their release.
Sources say the two men have now been transferred to Huda Jail after remaining missing for more than a year.
Previously, several individuals who had been reported as victims of enforced disappearance for prolonged periods later resurfaced in state custody and were transferred to prisons in connection with various cases, including terrorism-related charges.
