The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Saturday released a video showing its Fateh Squad carrying out the July 8 attack on a Pakistani military convoy near Bela in Balochistan.
The nine-minute-and-seven-second footage, published by Hakkal, the group’s official media channel, shows armed fighters surrounding the convoy and opening fire on vehicles on the Quetta-Karachi highway.
Several bodies of Pakistani military personnel, some dressed in civilian clothes, can be seen inside the vehicles and on the ground.
The fighters are heard communicating in Balochi and Brahui and exchanging updates as they advance towards the convoy. The footage also shows them seizing weapons and other equipment following the attack.
The BLA earlier said its Fateh Squad had targeted a four-vehicle convoy of the Pakistani military’s 1 Sindh Regiment near Walpat as it travelled from Karachi towards Basima.
The group claimed that 17 Pakistani soldiers were killed and several others wounded in the attack.
