Armed men attacked a Pakistani forces post in Turbat and temporarily blocked key highways in different parts of Balochistan, while the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed seven separate operations that it said killed 11 Pakistani military personnel and the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed a gas pipeline attack in Sindh’s Shikarpur area.

According to local sources, unknown armed men attacked a Pakistani forces post in the Dihat area of Turbat on Thursday, with multiple explosions and intense gunfire reported during the assault.

Residents said the sounds of explosions and gunfire were heard across the surrounding area. Local sources claimed the attack caused casualties and material losses, though no official confirmation has been issued.

No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the Turbat attack.

Meanwhile, armed men reportedly established temporary control over several major routes in Balochistan.

In the Wala Pat area between Bela and Ornach, a large number of armed men blocked the Quetta-Karachi highway, conducted snap-checking and reportedly set fire to vehicles and heavy machinery at a construction company site.

Similar reports were received from the Chamalang-Kohlu road, where armed men maintained control of the highway for several hours.

In Noshki’s Ahmadwal area, vehicles transporting minerals were also reportedly targeted.

The incidents came as the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” armed group, claimed responsibility for seven operations in Gwadar, Mand, Buleda, Noshki, Shahrak and Dasht.

In a statement on Friday, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters killed 11 Pakistani military personnel, seized a police checkpoint, confiscated official weapons and killed a man it accused of being a “military agent.”

The BLF said its fighters carried out an operation on the morning of 4 June in the Hor area of Kuntani, Gwadar, where they detained four police personnel accused of “extorting money from local vehicles.”

The group said its fighters seized an official Kalashnikov rifle, a magazine and a vehicle from the personnel.

The BLF said its fighters fired multiple grenades at a Pakistani Army and Military Intelligence office in the Suro area of Mand on 3 June, claiming that the rounds hit their targets and caused casualties and material losses.

In Minaz, Buleda, the group said it targeted a Pakistani military convoy with an IED on 3 June, killing four personnel and destroying the vehicle.

The BLF also claimed an IED attack in Noshki on 2 June, saying its fighters targeted a forces vehicle deployed to protect mineral-transporting trucks linked to the Reko Diq project.

The group said two personnel were killed and two others injured in the Noshki attack.

Following the attack, the BLF alleged, Pakistani forces raided nearby settlements, subjected unarmed civilians to violence, set fire to homes and shelters and damaged livestock.

In Shahrak, Kech, the group said its fighters targeted a Frontier Corps vehicle with an IED at Dam Bazaar on the CPEC road on 31 May, killing five FC personnel and injuring three others.

The group said the vehicle was “completely destroyed” in the blast.

On the same day, according to the statement, BLF fighters attacked and took control of a police checkpoint in Pishukan, Gwadar.

The group said its fighters detained police personnel, seized two Kalashnikov rifles and other military equipment, and later released the personnel “on humanitarian grounds” after warning them.

In Dasht, Kech, the BLF said its fighters set up a roadblock in the Kuncheti area on 27 May and detained Attaullah, son of Abdul Wahid, a resident of Dasht Chot, during what it described as a search operation against “state informers and collaborators.”

The group accused him of spying on its fighters, conducting surveillance and helping transfer local residents to military camps “in an attempt to make them work for the army.”

The BLF said Attaullah was shot dead on 30 May in Dasht Khudan after what it described as a “complete investigation.”

Separately, the Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for destroying a gas pipeline in Sindh’s Shikarpur area.

In a statement issued on Saturday, BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the pipeline, running from Sui to Sindh, was destroyed after explosive materials were planted and detonated.

“Our organization, the Baloch Republican Guards, accepts responsibility for this attack, and such attacks will continue until the independence of Balochistan,” the statement said.
