The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), through its media wing Hakkal, has released details of four fighters, including a camp commander, who it said were killed in separate clashes with Pakistani forces in Balochistan’s Mastung, Kalat and Panjgur districts.
The group identified the four as Hussnain Shahwani alias Maqbool, Mohammad Riaz Nichari alias Kaka Zaheer, Kabeer Baloch alias Waheed and Abdul Rehman alias Khalil.
According to the BLA, Hussnain Shahwani, son of Ibrahim Shahwani and a resident of Killi Kark in Mastung, was killed on June 1 during clashes in Kardegap, Mastung.
The statement said Shahwani joined the BLA in October 2022 and later served on the Kalat and Mastung fronts, where he became a camp commander and commander of the Fateh Squad.
Describing him as an “experienced field commander”, the BLA said Shahwani had played an important role in its activities in Mastung, Kalat and surrounding areas, including what it called the maintenance of the group’s presence in cities and on highways.
The statement said Shahwani had taken part in “Operations Herof I and Herof II”, adding that during “Herof II” he led Fateh Squad fighters on the Mastung front and helped implement what the group described as its offensive warfare approach.
The BLA said Shahwani was killed while fighting Pakistani forces in Kardegap, where, according to the group, its fighters had been holding defensive positions against military advances.
The group also named Mohammad Riaz Nichari alias Kaka Zaheer, son of Faqeer Mohammad Nichari and a resident of Kabo in Mastung, as another fighter killed in recent clashes.
According to the BLA, Nichari was killed on June 6 during fighting in Iskalko, Kalat. The group said he had joined the BLA in May 2023 before moving to its mountain front in January 2024.
The statement said Nichari served on the Mastung and Kalat fronts and later held the rank of patrol commander. It added that he had previously spent six years in detention before joining the BLA’s armed wing.
The BLA said Nichari took part in defending areas it described as being under the group’s control and influence, and was killed while fighting Pakistani forces on the Iskalko front.
The two other fighters named by the group, Kabeer Baloch alias Waheed and Abdul Rehman alias Khalil, were described as newer members who had joined the BLA earlier this year.
Kabeer Baloch, son of Mohammad Ayub Sumalani and a resident of Zard Ghulam Jan in Mangochar, Kalat district, was deployed on the Mastung front after completing basic military training, according to the statement.
The BLA said Kabeer took part in clashes in Mastung and Kardegap, where it claimed its fighters had repeatedly halted Pakistani military advances. He was killed in Kardegap on June 1, the group said.
Abdul Rehman, son of Raheem Jan and a resident of Tasp in Panjgur, joined the BLA in January 2026 and was deployed on the Panjgur front, according to the group.
The BLA said Abdul Rehman took part in several armed engagements before being killed on June 3 in the Chedagi area of Panjgur while fighting Pakistani forces.
