At least eight individuals have reportedly gone missing in separate incidents across different districts of Balochistan, according to local sources and families, who allege that some of them were taken into custody by Pakistani security forces.
In Quetta, Saifullah, son of Attaullah and a resident of Killi Qambrani on Sariab Road, was reportedly detained by Pakistani forces’ personnel around 2 a.m. on 12 March near Khalifa Chowk on Manojan Road. Family members said the 21-year-old mechanic was taken into custody and moved to an undisclosed location.
In a separate incident in Gwadar District, Majeed, son of Ghulam Muhammad, a 20-year-old student from the coastal area of Jiwani, was reportedly taken into custody around 4 a.m. on 13 March from his native area of Panwan by personnel said to belong to the Frontier Corps and Military Intelligence.
Two brothers from the Zehri town area of Khuzdar District were also reported missing in separate incidents. According to local reports, Shams Baloch, son of Haji Qadir Bakhsh, was allegedly detained by Pakistani military personnel from his home in Zehri town on the evening of 2 March. His brother, Qamar Zehri, son of Haji Qadir Bakhsh, had earlier been taken into custody on 19 February from the BMC Labour Colony area of Quetta by personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department and has remained missing since then.
In another case, Amjad, son of Gwahram and a fisherman from the Maripur area of Karachi, was reportedly detained on the morning of 15 January from Ormara by personnel said to belong to Military Intelligence. Family members said he remained missing for weeks before authorities later announced his arrest in Karachi and linked him to a militant organisation.
Meanwhile, in Turbat in Kech District, two residents of the Nasirabad area—Balach Peeral, son of Peeral, and Balach Naseer, son of Naseer—were reportedly detained during a late-night operation between Friday and Saturday and taken to an unknown location. Local sources said families have not received any information about their whereabouts since then.

Residents also reported that security forces carried out another raid in the same area the following night. According to locals, officers attempted to take an elderly disabled man with them, but residents resisted, after which the personnel reportedly left the area.
Separately, in Kharan District, Abdul Ghani, son of Abdul Hafeez Kubdani, was reportedly abducted by unidentified armed men near a police station in Kharan city. Witnesses said the men arrived in a Surf vehicle and forced him into the car before leaving the scene.
Families of the missing individuals said that since their detention or abduction they have not been informed of their whereabouts, nor have they been presented before a court.
Relatives have appealed to human rights organisations and international bodies to take notice of the incidents and to help ensure the recovery of those who remain missing. Reports of enforced disappearances and abductions in Balochistan have been documented for many years by rights groups and local organisations.
