Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups on Tuesday claimed responsibility for several attacks across Balochistan, including an improvised explosive device blast in Mastung, the execution of an alleged “Pakistani Army agent” in Panjgur, and a separate grenade attack on a military post in Kech.
In a media statement, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters detonated a remote-controlled explosive device against army personnel conducting road clearance in the Marao Kand area of Mastung. He said three soldiers were killed on the spot.
He added that on Tuesday BLA fighters detained a man identified as Doda Khan, son of Deen Muhammad, in the Pardan area of Panjgur. The group described him as an alleged “Pakistani Army agent” and said a tracking chip and an army service card were recovered from him during questioning.
According to the statement, the man admitted to providing information to Pakistani armed forces and to taking part in “burning houses and enforced disappearances.” The BLA said its fighters executed him later the same day.
Separately, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) said its fighters fired multiple grenade-launcher rounds at a Pakistani military post in the Malant area of Tump, Kech, on November 24.
BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the shells landed inside the camp and caused “loss of life and property” to what the group described as “occupying Pakistani forces.”
Meanwhile, local sources in Panjgur said a Pakistani forces’ camp in the Garmkan area came under a prolonged overnight assault. They said a large number of fighters attacked the camp from multiple directions using rockets and other heavy weapons.
More than twenty-five explosions and extended gunfire were heard across the area, they added.
Pakistani authorities had not issued statements responding to the claims at the time of publication, and the extent of casualties from the Panjgur attack remained unclear.
