A man has reportedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces in the Mangucher area of Kalat district, local sources said.
The individual, identified as Jameel Nechari, son of Ameer Hamza, was detained on Tuesday night and taken to an undisclosed location. Local sources described Jameel as a laborer earning his livelihood through daily work.
Family members of the missing man have appealed to authorities for his safe release.
The incident comes amid a reported surge in enforced disappearances in Kalat and surrounding areas. Local sources claim that around 40 residents from Kalat City, Iskalku, Yousafi, and Harboi have been detained by security forces in recent days.
In one reported incident, eight individuals traveling from Kalat City to Harboi were allegedly taken to an unknown location by security forces.
The situation is further exacerbated by communication blackouts in the region, making it difficult to verify reports or gather information about the missing individuals.
