Baloch armed groups have claimed responsibility forattacks on Pakistani forces and destroying a gas pipeline in Dera Bugti area of Balochistan on Friday.
According to a statement released to the media, Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), one of the active separatist groups has claimed responsibility of two attacks on Pakistani forces in Balochistan’s districts of Awaran and Kech.
Major Gwahram Baloch, Spokesman for the group in the statement said that, on Thursday evening, BLF fighters attacked a military check-post of Pakistani forces in Nundid, Kuch area of Jaho.
He added that its fighters fired two rockets which hit the checkpoint, military personnel in the check-post were killed and wounded.
Spokesperson further stated that BLF fighters also killed an army personnel with sniper riffle in Zaar Sechi, Balnegwar Dasht area of District kech.
“Video of this attack will be released soon on the social media” he added.
Whereas, Pakistani mainstream media and authorities have not committed on these attacks yet.
Another Baloch armed group, Baloch Liberation Tigers claimed responsibility for destroying a natural gas installation in Dera Bugti.
Spokesperson of BLT, Miran Baloch has said in a statement issued to the media; On Friday morning, the fighters of BLT destroyed the gas well No. 41 in Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti by planting explosives.
Miran Baloch said that the gas well was completely destroyed as a result of the attack.
Baloch armed groups have been fighting against Pakistan state since 2004 to date to ‘regain independence of their natural resources-rich homeland’, Balochistan. It is believed to be the 5th insurgency in Balochistan against Pakistan in last 72 years.
