The convoy of a Pakistani military general has been attacked near Washuk resulting in multiple personnel being killed and injured.
According to details received by TBP, the convoy of Major General Saeed Ahmed Nagra was attacked by unknown armed persons near Washuk on Thursday. Pakistani military sources have confirmed that two personnel lost their lives, whereas, three others have been injured in the attack.
However, local sources are reporting higher figures of losses.
Major General Nagra is Inspector General of Frontier Corps South Wing in Balochistan.
His convoy, comprising of more than five vehicles, was attacked while on its way from Washuk to Khuzdar.
There was no report on condition of the general.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of filing this report. However, pro-independence Baloch armed groups are active in the region and have carried out attacks against senior military officials in past too.
