France has revealed that Iran’s intelligence ministry, which is controlled by Iran’s so-called supreme leader ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ordered an attack on an exiled Iraninan opposition group’s rally near Paris in June.

France has also frozen assets of Iran’s intelligence services.

French authorities said that after a detailed investigation by French services it was established withouth any doubt that the orders were given from Iran’s Intelligence ministry.

A French source told Arab News that Iran’s Deputy Minister and Director General of Intelligence Saeid Hashemi Moghadam had ordered the attack.

However, Iran has denied the accusations.

“We deny the accusations and forcefully condemn the Iranian diplomat’s arrest and call for his immediate release,” Iran’s foreign affairs ministry said in its statement.
