A person has gone missing after security forces disappeared him forcibly during a raid on a house.
According to details TBP received, personnel of Pakistani security forces raided a house in Kech district of Balochistan. During the raid a man was detained and taken away by the authorities.
The man was later identified as Shaukat s/o Ahmed, who is a resident of Mand Bulaida.
He has not been heard of since his arrest and his family has no information about where he has been detained.
‘Forcible disappearances’ are a common occurance in Balochistan. On Thursday, families of seven disappeared students protested in front of Turbat press club.
“All seven are students and were abducted by Pakistani forces from Bhawani area of Hub Balochistan, while traveling for a tourism trip from Tump to Karachi on 21 July in a local Bus”, Families stated.
According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), a campaign group formed by families of victims, more than 20,000 Baloch men, women and children are under Pakistani custody.
