According to the Balochistan Post correspondent, the camp set-up for the safe recovery of Baloch missing persons has completed its 3157th day protesting for release of missing persons and Muslim fesitval of Eid-ul-Azha is around the corner.

Today, a delegation of Baloch activists including women visited the camp, set-up in front of Quetta Press Club.

“Baloch nation cannot enjoy the blessings of Eid day, our brothers have been martyred and thousand are still missing, Baloch have forgotten how it feels on Eid day, as we suffer every day thinking about the well-being of loved ones”, said Hooran Baloch, a member of the delegation.

Mama Qadeer, the vice chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, said that Balochistan is facing a war-like situation, which is not any different from Syria and Libya.

VBMP has spent many Eids (Muslim religious festivals) protesting for the release of Baloch missing persons.

The term ‘Missing Person’ is widely used in Balochistan for the persons who have been allegedly picked up by security forces and are not presented before the court of law and instead kept in military camps.

According to reports in one such incident, three men were picked up today from Kech district and their whereabouts are not known too.

According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), the campaign group by families of victims, more than 20, 000 Baloch men, women and children are under Pakistani custody.

VBMP also alleges that at least 5,000 missing persons have been killed and dumped over last one decade.
