Pro-independence armed organisation Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), has claimed responsibility for IED attack on Pakistani forces that killed four personnel and injured three others.

A powerful IED had ripped through a Pakistani forces vehicle early on Wednesday in Sangan near Sibbi.

BLA, which claims to fight for independence of Balochistan, posted a series of tweets on their official Twitter account taking responsibility for the attack.

BLA said that the area is under control of Pakistani forces since March 2015. It alleged that Pakistani forces have “abducted” many local residents and have also forcefully displaced many others.

The armed organisation also claimed responsibility for attack in Panjgur on a “local state agent”.

Armed activities in Balochistan have considerably increased in last few months. Analysts believe the recent agreement between two main armed organisations Baloch Liberation Army and Baloch Liberation Front has helped fighters consolidate their resources resulting in increased activities against the Pakistani forces.
