The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances has ordered the registration of a first information report (FIR) and the arrest of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel over the alleged extrajudicial killing of Muhammad Sudais Langove, according to the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP).

In a statement, the organisation said its chairman, Nasrullah Baloch, appeared before the commission alongside Sudais’s family in connection with his alleged killing following enforced disappearance.

The commission ordered an FIR against a CTD deputy superintendent of police (DSP), a station house officer (SHO) and other personnel, and directed their arrest, the statement said.

It said the commission instructed the SHO of Civil Lines Police Station to record statements from Sudais’s family, take legal action against the personnel concerned and submit a report within one week.

The commission also ordered the authorities to exhume Sudais’s remains and hand them over to his family so they could rebury him with dignity, according to the statement.

According to his family, Sudais was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from Killi Ismail in Quetta during the night of May 19–20, 2026. They alleged that he was subsequently killed on August 20 in a staged encounter.

His father, Muhammad Ashraf, had earlier said the CTD submitted a report to the commission claiming that Sudais had been killed in an encounter in Aghbarg and that his body had been handed over to the Edhi Foundation for burial. Ashraf rejected that account, saying his son had been detained in front of family members and subsequently killed in custody.

Nasrullah Baloch welcomed the commission’s orders as a “positive development”, saying measures to uphold the rule of law and ensure justice could strengthen public confidence in institutions responsible for delivering it.

He expressed hope that the commission would play an effective role in bringing those responsible to justice and ensuring that Sudais’s family received justice in accordance with the law.

The VBMP chairman also urged the commission to contribute to ending enforced disappearances, preventing extrajudicial killings of missing persons and securing the recovery of those who remain missing.

The organisation’s protest camp against enforced disappearances continued outside the Quetta Press Club for the 6,401st consecutive day on Tuesday.

Separately, three cases of alleged enforced disappearance in September have been reported in Kech and Quetta, involving two 14-year-old shepherds and a 17-year-old tailor.

According to reports, Qambar, 14, son of Nizar Muhammad, and Zubair, 14, son of Dad Karim, were forcibly disappeared from Tump’s Azyan area at around noon on September 3, 2026. Both are shepherds from Gomazi in Kech district.

The reports accused Frontier Corps (FC) personnel of involvement in their disappearance. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

The third case concerns Mustafa Baloch, 17, son of Gul Baloch, a tailor from Qadri Chowk on Qambrani Road in Quetta. He was reportedly forcibly disappeared from his home at around 2 a.m. on September 29, 2026.

Sources accused personnel from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and CTD of involvement in Mustafa’s disappearance.

The families of all three remain without information about their whereabouts.
